A new event and wedding venue is coming to central New York. Located in Jordanville, a small town that is rich in history. I have enjoyed restoring my house and barn and hope that you will enjoy the attention to detail and services that are one off. Only 10 minutes from the New York State Thruway it’s easily accessible from any part of New York. When you arrive in Jordanville, you’ll see million dollar views, historic churches and Libraries and just a little further up the road, Knotting Hill Farm.

The farm was established in 1802 . I have taken every measure I could to retain all the original charm right down to using mortise and tenon joinery on all the wood work in the barn and house.

The barn is two story with handicap accessibility on both floors. There are five bathrooms for guest in the barn and three in the house. As you enter the barn down stairs you see a huge reception area with poured concrete floors. The center section cat walk is made out of solid oak that is joined by mortised and tenon. There’s a handmade indoor bar inside the reception area and a outdoor covered bar attached to the barn with plenty of seating that you can also access from the inside. As you go up the stairs inside or up the hay ramp outside you’ll walk down the cat walk that leads to an indoor chapel, a unique feature to the barn. The event space is fully sound-equipped and is ready for a DJ or your band. There is plenty of seating in solid oak church pews if you wish to have your ceremony inside or out. Antique ambient lighting throughout adds to the charm.

Outside the barn is 65 acres of some of the most scenic views in the area. Numerous 200 year old trees appoint the property with ample spots for an outdoor ceremony. Across the street we have a working Black Walnut Plantation that your welcome to check out. The yard is manicured to perfection, with professional landscaping and with a private road that leads to lush hay fields and views of the water we are sure you’ll love our little piece of heaven as much as we do. There are numerous spots on the farm for an outdoor ceremony. Natural arching apple trees, grand daddy oaks or you may choose the water out back with views of a castle with gold domes. We can even pull out full size church pews if you’d like those instead of the chairs included. Your ceremony will be picture perfect!

With all the authentic charm intact and yet combined with modern touches, Knotting Hill Farm is truly a unique venue. As these venues are becoming more and more popular I hope you’ll notice the touches and pride in craftsmanship that separates us from the rest.

The house is included in your event for the weekend. The house was a Bed and Breakfast so it’s able to sleep 30 with a handicap bathroom and bedrooms downstairs and 6 more upstairs. We can arrange the rooms to your liking within reason for your event to help accommodate wedding party’s and/or guest from out of town. There is also of plenty of lodging available within 5 minutes with transportation available. The house also has a beauty bar in a private room for the bridal party to get ready, reminisce and enjoy the day and not feel rushed. There is a guest house that can be used for the honeymoon sweet if you’d like also.

Bonfires are available at night as well as many other activities that we will have set up with local vendors.

Chairs, tables, a sweet heart table and everything else you need will be included for you day.

We plan to finish construction winter of 2019 and have already began booking for 2019. You can tour the farm at any time with a private showing.
